Biography

Born on July 1, 1948 in Krasnodon.

In 1975 he graduated from a special engineering faculty of the Military academy of defence and completed postgraduate studies under the specified academy, Doctor of Chemistry, Professor, member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, the Russian Ecological Academy.

From 1975 to 1981 – a senior research assistant of the Scientific center of the USSR Ministry of Defence.

From 1981 to 1985 – chief of the laboratory of the Scientific Research Institute for Biological Tests of Chemical Mixtures of the USSR Ministry of Healthcare.

From 1985 to 1991 – deputy research director of the Applied Molecular Biology of the USSR Ministry of Healthcare.

Since 1992 – the director of the Emergency Research Center of Ministry of Healthcare of Russia; the Chairman of Moscow municipal committee for environmental conservation, professor of the International University.

From 2002 till 2006 he was holding the chair of manufacturers’ rights legal defence in D. Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, in 2006 was elected a chairperson of a new Chair of State Policy in

Environmental Resources Management forming a part of the Institute of Chemistry and Sustainable Development Issues (IPUR).

A member of scientific boards under the Security Council of Russia, Moscow Mayor’s Office, of the High Ecological Council under the RF State Duma.

A laureate of the State Prize of the USSR, of the Prize of the Government of Russia.

An author of over 100 scientific works and 20 inventions in the field of chemistry of physiologically active substances and ecology, of 50 nonfiction works on Moscow ecology.
